Stepping back to recalibrate and rethink my virtual presence. This account is temporarily closed for maintenance.

I am an artist and researcher currently based between Venice, Italy, and Copenhagen, Denmark. My work explores the intersection of art and science, with a focus on fostering collaboration between these fields. I am pursuing a PhD on this very subject, with a specific focus on space and astrophysics. This research, supported by Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, is part of a project examining the modeling of exoplanets and protoplanetary disks. I conduct my work through the University of Antwerp and the University of Copenhagen, although my academic background is in computer science. Both in my scientific research and artistic practice, I often integrate technology and explore it within the framework of a hacking ethos, collaborating with various communities along the way.

Around 15 years ago, I co-founded SEADS (Space Ecologies Art and Design), a network and collective dedicated to exploring future literacy through global projects. SEADS brings together members from diverse fields, including science, arts, engineering, and activism. Our projects often engage communities in unique ways, such as Biomodd, which combines e-waste, technology, humans, and plants. One of our ongoing projects involves repeatedly sending an artwork into space, allowing it to evolve based on the effects of space on the living organisms it carries. I’ve also co-directed an immersive theater experience.

I have been actively involved in teaching at institutions such as Erasmus University College, LUCA School of Arts, and the University of the Philippines, where I’ve worked at the intersection of art, technology, and scientific inquiry. In addition, I run a small studio where I develop online platforms for artists, research communities, and non-profit organizations, as well as software for live visual performances at festivals.

Lastly, I am one half of "The Center for Wet Poetic Planning," where we explore the role of water in its broadest sense, considering its relationship to a more sustainable future.
